FOODS THAT CAUSES CANCER WE CONSUME EVERY DAY
We eat foods daily and we are not conscious of the foods we eat, how processed it is, how long it has been stored, its method of storage and many more.
When your parents were young, no one was concerned about foods that cause cancer. The research was very young at the time, but there were also far less processed foods on the market, people ate healthier and more pure foods, because that was what was available to them.
I point this out because you’ll note that several of the most common (and aggressive) cancers have to do with your gastrointestinal system. The function of your body that processes the food you eat, distributes it around your body as needed, and does its best to dump the leftover toxins.
Today, it seems like doctors link everything to causing cancer – it’s hard to determine what to really stay away from. While you think you may be doing the right thing for your health by drinking diet sodas or low-calorie popcorn, you’re actually eating some of the worst cancer-causing foods out there!
BELOW ARE FOODS THAT CAUSES CANCER
(1)MICROWAVED POPCORN
Sure it’s easy to pop a bag of popcorn in the microwave when you want a quick and tasty snack, but is it really worth risking yourself for liver, testicular and pancreatic cancer? The microwave popcorn bags you have in your cabinet are lined with carcinogenic chemicals (perfluorooctanoic acid). And so is a chemical in the popcorn itself, which creates the artificial butter flavor. If you can’t give up your favorite movie-time snack, it’s time to switch to the old-fashioned stove top or a kernel popping machine like you see at movie theaters.
(2)REFINED SUGAR
Refined sugar comes from sugar cane or sugar beets, which are processed to extract the sugar. It is typically found as sucrose, which is the combination of glucose and fructose. Refined sugars (and foods made with them) are the source of major insulin spikes and feed the growth of cancer cells.Tumors use sugars to feed themselves and increase in size. This unsettling fact was discovered in 1931 by Otto Warburg, a Nobel laureate in medicine.
(3)HYDROGENATED OIL
Hydrogenated oils are unsaturated oils that have been put through a process to saturate them, making them shelf stable, hydrogenated oils are vegetable oils, which cannot be naturally extracted like olive oil, soy or canola oil,They are commonly used in many foods in your pantry to preserve and keep their shelf life, yet they are also linked to cancer, birth defects, heart disease and many other fatalities.
You can avoid hydrogenated oil but instead choosing coconut, palm, or olive oil. Organic butter is a better option as well.
(4)REFINED WHITE FLOUR
Bleached food doesn’t sound like a good thing, because it isn’t. Traces of the chemicals remain in the food. Also, highly processed flours also have a high carbohydrate content which upset the blood sugar balance inside our body and leads to a higher production of insulin and thus feeds cancer cells.
White flour also contains a high glycemic rate, which raises blood sugar and insulin levels and can directly cause diabetes. Cancerous tumors feed on sugar in the bloodstream, so by avoiding refined grains like processed white flour, you can avoid or starve deadly tumors.
(5)POTATOES CHIPS
They may be cheap, easy and delicious, but these crispy, addicting snacks can also be deadly. We know that these foods aren’t good for us, but did you realize that they’re considered cancer causing foods? These fast food staples are fried in hydrogenated vegetable oil (we have discussed about the dangers of hydrogenated oil above).
they also have excessive sodium levels, which cause high blood pressure and artificial flavors, preservatives and colors. Another risk is the presence of acrymalide, a known carcinogen found in cigarettes.
(6)FARMED SALMON FISH
Eating farmed salmon occasionally is not a great health concern, but risks can add up if you eat salmon often. We recommend wild salmon over farmed whenever possible, Farm-raised fish are fed unnatural diets and contaminated with chemicals, antibiotics, pesticides and other known carcinogens found in materials like asbestos. Farmed salmon is also fattier than fresh salmon, which means it soaks up more toxins. Next time you want a healthy omega-3 packed, treat yourself to fresh salmon instead.
(7)ALCOHOL
After tobacco use, alcohol abuse is the leading cause of cancer. Although it’s true that a moderate or low amount of alcohol can actually reduce heart-disease risk, overindulgence can result in heart failure and stroke and cancer. In a meta-study, experts working for the World Health Organization concluded that excessive alcohol use is the main cause of mouth, esophagus, liver, colon, mouth, rectum and female breast cancers. Stick with one glass of wine per day for women, two for men.
(8)GRILLED RED MEAT
While grilled food can taste delicious, scientists have discovered that preparing meats in this way – especially processed meats like hot dogs – releases a carcinogen called heterocyclic aromatic amines. When you grill red meat to the point of well-done, it changes the chemical and molecular structure of the meat. You’re better off baking, broiling, or preparing meat in a skillet than on the grill.
